Moving from Coast to Coast

With our upcoming move to Virginia we are searching out the various options of how to get all of our stuff there. We are leaning toward doing a PODS type of a move so that we can all just ride in the minivan together (we only have one car) and not have to drive a Uhaul. I'm looking for any advice as to which company to use and any success or horror stories you have to share.
THANKS!!

I would definitely go with the PODS. UHaul's are notorious for breaking down. And if you're moving from coast to coast, I really don't think you'll want to mess with that. I hate the idea of you driving all that way by yourself! Not fun. PODS, definitely.

When we moved here from Utah we had the same problem. How are we going to get all our stuff there. WE had two cars though so we both needed to drive one. WE didn't want to rent a Uhaul and tow one car. Too much money. We used PODS, it was amazing. They drop it off right were you ask them too, you call them when you wan t it picked up. Then when you get to where you're going they'll again drop it off right where you want it. It was awesome. And all of our things were fine. Nothing broke!!! i give PODS a thumbs up!

When we had a couple move from state to state when we managed apartments they used a company (can't remember the name) who moved them. So they didn't drive the moving truck. Well unfortunately the company held there stuff hostage and wouldn't release the truck until they payed all this extra money. I hope you have good luck with whatever way you go.

We used ABF to get from Rexburg to Oklahoma. It was simple and at the time less expensive than U-Haul. Haven't used PODS but heard good things.

Hahaha, we love your Christmas picture up top, very classy. ;) Congrats on the big move! Sorry, I don't have any advice to offer in the whole "Pod" area. We did recently make our blog private so if you want to be added, email me at sascoresby@gmail.com
