Down By the River

Memorial Day weekend was so fun. We stayed close to home and ventured downtown to the river at Waterfront Park. We strolled around Saturday's Market under the Burnside Bridge and took in all the sites, sounds, smells and art.

Then we fed the ducks, well geese. Dominic enjoyed eating the bread more than tossing it, but that's to be expected from a 2 year old.

We enjoyed 2 BBQ's over the weekend, a quick trip to Value Village for their 50% off sale and took the kids to breakfast at Shari's. They absoutly LOVED that and were so well behaved that it was actually really fun! It couldn't have been a better weekend.

Seven Months

'Little Tess' is 7 months today. She's a happy little gal unless she gets handed off to someone other than Cole or me. She's babbling a lot, saying lots of ma, da, and ba, which the other kids think is hilarious! She was thrilled to see herself in her toy mirror the other day and her laugh is so adorable.

I got out the shower the other day and heard Tessa giggling. She was supposed to be taking a nap, but Dominic decided to keep her company instead and she loved it.

Sick Days

After making it through the winter without getting anything more than a sniffle we were hit with all sorts of illness these past 2 weeks. Dominic has suffered the most with a stomach flu and cold and everything in between. It's day 11 now that he's be sick. We keep thinking he's over it all because he'll perk up for a day, but then he'll surpise us by throwing up again or getting a high fever. He's skin and bones now and we're basically spoon feeding him to try to get him to eat and gain some weight again. So sad.

Domacioni's Resturante

Cole and the kids were very sweet to me Mother's Day morning. They gave me breakfast in bed from their very own restaurant 'Domacioni' with a menu and all. I chose breakfast burritos, strawberry milk, and strawberries. They also sang me 'I Often Go Walking' and Cole got me flowers a few days before. I love being a mom :)

Fried Food Fridays!

We have long standing tradition of 'Fried Food Fridays'. Instead of cooking a meal we eat fatty, but delicious fried foods from the grocery store on Friday night (it's nice to have a break for meal prep). Some of our favorites are corn dogs (gotta love your greasy lips after taking a bite of these), jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, onion rings and taquitos. Occasionally we'll throw in some apples or something, but heck, usually I think what's the point?! Nothing like clogging those arteries. (Don't forget a huge squirt of Ranch on the side!!)

Hanging out

Doing what the kids do best- play, make messes, and make each other laugh!

Talent . . .

. . . yeah, Cole's got a lot of it. It was the Dental School Talent Show last weekend and Cole's band played, and he also accompanied someone on the piano, and sang and played the guitar with someone else. They were all great and we had a fun time having my sister Shayla and my mom there with us!
