Dominic's Preschool

This week is Dominic's last week of Preschool at St. Matthew's. I was so excited for him to go this past year. Not really to have a break from him, but for him to have his own adventures, boys to play with and improve his social skills. He has absolutely LOVED school. The first few weeks he wouldn't really tell me anything about his day, but the past several months he gets so excited to tell me about his day on the ride home. It's super fun to hear him ramble on about everything he did.

He had a preschool program yesterday where they sang songs and danced. He did such a great job. It was really fun to watch him.

His little class of 8- Sophie, Alyssa, Abbie Kate, Collin, Dominic, Charlie, Jamie and Nicholas

Friends- Charlie and Jamie

With Mrs. Ansell who was a wonderful teacher . . . I loved her and so did he.

He came home with some fun papers today of questions his teacher asked him throughout the year.

Family Date

Cole rotates taking the kids out on dates on Saturdays, but on occasion we do a family date instead. This past weekend we went to the nature center which has tons of reptiles and fish. We also fed the fish and turtles some bread. The pictures don't show how many turtles there were. It was rather amazing and the kids always love coming here.

After we went to McDonalds to get the kids some dinner. Claire "pounded" her ice cream almost eating the whole thing ate only a few fries. That girl has a serious sweet tooth. Cole's been traveling and been really busy so it was nice to get out and enjoy some time together as a family.

What We've Been Up To

Catching caterpillars and observing them turning into moths. Dominic named this one Brownie.

Learning to put on our own lipstick

Picking and blowing dandelions

Playing football and baseball in the yard

Packing up some of the house

Growing a baby . . . who will arrive in 2 days.

Mommyhood

I love my little ones. They make me happy, they make me sad, they frustrate me, they make me laugh, they cheer me up and they make life really fun! I love being a mom and I'm excited for our new little one who will be here in less time than the ticker on the top of the page says (I'm holding my dr  to his word that we can schedule an induction date for the last weekend in May). The end is in sight!

My kids and Cole were very nice to me today. The cleaned up the downstairs this morning so we could have a clean house when we got home from church. They served me a very nice lunch with homemade lemonade, sang me songs, gave me notes, I took a long uninterrupted nap and now the kids are in bed and Cole is making me dinner. Mother's Day is a nice day to not have to act like a mother!

I guess the only things that didn't go right today are that Claire stuck her hands in her poopy diaper and later threw up all over the floor while I was holding her. Thankfully Cole kindly cleaned that up. But capturing Claire and her cute cheesy smiles makes it all worth it!

Oh, and Happy Mother's Day to me . . . I got my braces off and I'm so excited! Finally straight teeth!
Self portraits at 36 wks pregnant clearly aren't my thing!
