The Tree

Macie and I enjoyed decorating the tree together last weekend. She was very careful not to put two similar ornaments next to each other and was very pleased with her work.

Dominic spent his time playing with this large stick that somehow made it in the house with the tree.

The finished tree before the kids got to it.

Tessa has loved climbing under the tree, pulling ornaments off and clapping them together - of course the plastic ones are on bottom.

After I got out of the shower the other day Macie yells that Tessa has taken more ornaments off the tree which wasn't surprising, but she had also pulled down the beaded garland and wrapped it around her neck (just glad Dom didn't strangle her with them).

This is now what the bottom half of the tree looks like. I probably should have only decorated the top half to begin with!

Such fun. Tessa is brave, because Christmas trees are scary - according to Keiger - he won't touch ours! And yes the picture was great, Morgan just laughed and wouldn't let me see it because she had to check out all the details - hilarious! We too are trying to figure out if we will be able to see you guys before the summer...we shall see.

It still looks better than ours . .which Brooklyn and Dallas have pretty much destroyed by this point in time. Maybe Dallas could teach Dominic how to beat the tree with the stick??

I realize this is a glimpse in to the future for me...this is what our tree will look like next year with a toddler running around :)

If nothing else the tree probably keeps Tessa entertained. I love it when the kids find something to entertain themselves with and I can get things done, usually theres a mess afterwards :(
Merry Christmas!!!
