camera recommendation?!

It always seems to happen around the time we have a new baby - we (usually me) drop the camera and something breaks on it. This time it's the flash the doesn't work (not sure if it was a result of dropping) so I can't take pictures indoors unless the faces are right next to the window. I shuttled my kids outside yesterday morning at 7:30 am to take pics with their easter baskets pleading with them to stay quiet and not wake the neighbors.

I'd rather not tke every single pic of this new baby by a window or outside. I don't think the last delivery room I was in even had any windows and I woudl hate not to have those firt pics!

So I'm looking for a new, fairly inexpensive point and shoot digital camera (I've been saving up my swagbucks). If you have camera that fits that's criteria that you like and would recommend would you let me know what brand and model it is?!

Thanks!

We have the Canon Power Shot sx120 IS and we have liked it. It takes pretty decent photos and has some good features. Don't ask how much it was, though. I do not remember. We got it for Christmas LAST year and we did a bunch of research. This one had great reviews (both consumer and professional) and is a pretty good bang for your buck. Good luck!

Nikon CoolPix are good, and super easy to use. I think they are about $200.

Love, love love our Cannon power shot SD1000. We got it a few Christmases ago, but it is still going strong and takes great pics. What I really love about it, though, is the macro setting. In the macro setting it has a great depth of field and takes nice shots. This is an older model, and I'm sure there's something upgraded from this, but we're still happy with our 7.1 megapixels.
In fact, last summer I dropped it in the swimming pool (totally something my klutzy self would do) and it quit working on us. So we just invested in another one that we found in local classifieds for $75. I think Ben bought our first one for about $150.
Good luck!
