My Wild Things!

My kids both LOVE the book "Where the Wild Things Are." We read it 10+ times a day in Spanish and English. Recently it's gone to a new level with Cole narrating and Macie acting it out. So today we decided to add to the fun and make a boat.

Epidural or Not?

So I am excited that our new little to be here so soon. I'm hoping she'll come a bit early like my other kids. It's hard to be patient when I'm so uncomfy. My question for all you mothers is "epidural or not?" I had my other children with out an epidural and since it's only been 19 months since Dominic was born I can still remember how painful it was!!!!! Both the kids came fairly quickly with only light and slightly uncomfortable contractions until my water broke after which they came hard and fast and I had the baby in 45 minutes! So I'd like to hear your preference if you've had an epidural with one, but not with the other or what you did or didn't like about the epidural! Thanks! :)

A Great Day at the Oregon Coast

We had a fabulous time on the Oregon Coast this past weekend. The weather was great! We enjoyed going to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, getting to go to the top of a light house and seeing the Octopus Tree. The kids loved the sand and water - both got their clothes very wet and we just enjoyed each others company for the last time before Cole started school Monday.

Long Awaited For and Well Deserved!

When Cole started Dental School we agreed that he could get a new guitar after his first year was over in 2006. Well he opted to wait until after he took his National Board Exam a few weeks ago. It was like Christmas when the UPS man arrived 2 days after the test bringing Cole's new and beautiful guitar and other recording accessories. Cole couldn't be been a happier man! We were all so happy for him to be done with the hardest years of school, done with the test, and now having his guitar which he's dreamed about for so long.

The Mighty One

On September 1st Cole did a Tri-It Triathlon (about half of a full triathlon) in Scoggins Valley. He brushed up on his biking and swimming skills during the few weeks prior, having not been on a bike since his mission 6 years prior. He did awesome, placing 2nd in his division, finishing in about 1 hour and 20 minutes! I got tired just watching :)

Cole is in the middle getting ready for the 1/4 mile swim.

The bike ride was 12 miles!

This is Cole coming into the finish line after a 3 mile run!

Yeah, they did it! Cole and a group of classmates and friends after completing the race.

Our Little Artist

Dominic tried out his artistic talents on the wall today. This is him cleaning up and he doesn't look the least bit sorry!

Multnomah Days Parade

We live in an area in Portland called Multnomah Village. The actual "village" is only about 3 blocks with lots of little shops and resturants - it reminds me of Sisters, OR or shops along the coast. They had a parade in Aug and we came home with tons of candy!
